Κορνήλιος Σαραντιογλου

Kornilios Sarantioglou

At the age of just 20, after completing his studies in creative photography at “Lykourgos Stavrakos School of Film and Photography,” Kornilios began his professional career in advertising and publishing. It wasn’t long before he opened his own studio and started collaborating early on with major publishing houses such as Attikes Ekdoseis, Imako Media, Daphne Communications, Boussias Communications, and others.

At the same time, he discovered his great passion for nature, mountaineering, and climbing. Since then, he has successfully completed courses in Winter Mountain and Mountaineering, Rock Climbing, and Climbing Leaders, all with recognized qualifications from the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (EOOA). Through his 22 years of experience as a scout team leader, community leader, and deputy leader of a scout system, he also developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and collective effort. He has been honored with the Medal of Meritorious Service.

In recent years, he has participated in climbing expeditions in the French and Italian Alps (Mont Blanc, Grand Paradiso) and the Himalayas (Nangkartshang 5,050m, Kalapatar 5,550m, Island Peak 6,189m), while simultaneously documenting these efforts through film and photography as an ambassador for The North Face. In 2022, he organized a mountaineering expedition on Denali in Alaska at 6,200 meters to create the first Greek documentary for Greek television. The endeavor was supported by Boussias Communications, Spanos Luxury Cars/Land Rover, Revoil, ION, Avra Water, Costa Coffee, Tsakiris Chips, among others. He has organized and participated in numerous expeditions to Greek mountains, with a particular fondness for Mt Olympus and Tymfi. On mt Olympusr, he organized and executed the first official corporate ascent in Greece on behalf of Oriflame Hellas, producing photographic and cinematic material for promotional purposes.

He is certified in First Aid and has successfully completed courses such as lifeboat operator, camping techniques, and more. He loves extreme sports and martial arts, and continues to work with the same unwavering passion for his two great loves: creatively capturing stories and adventure.
