After enjoying these unique treats, we will continue with wine tasting at the unique Katogi Averoff winery. There, we can sample and purchase the wine of our choice.

Tip* Metsovo will be the last large village where we can stock up on supplies, as for the next 22 hours we will be away from civilization.

14:00 -15:30
Lavish lunch at a local traditional tavern.

15:40
Departure for the village of Kranea, where massive 4×4 vehicles will pick us up to begin our unique nature experience. Safe parking will be available at a gas station where we can leave our vehicles.
Info* Metsovo – Kranea: 28.5 km, 40 minutes.

16:20
We will have 40 minutes for a final check of the items we’ll be taking with us into the National Park and then split up into vehicles to start our adventure. The tour lasts about 3 hours and takes us through impressive centuries-old pine and fir forests, with several crossings of small rivers. We will be accompanied by Michalis Misiakas, who, in addition to being one of the 4×4 drivers, is also a professional forester and can answer all our questions.

Info* Each vehicle, aside from the driver, will have 3-4 participants.

20:00
We arrive at the core of the National Park and Valia Kalda, where our campsite will be ready and the chef will be warming up his wok for a unique culinary experience using local products, all around the campfire.

Info* After dinner, there will be an option to watch a movie in open-air cinema style*, or simply enjoy our wine while chatting around the fire (*by prior arrangement*).

Day 2

Breakfast by the sounds of the river and departure for those interested in visiting the impressive twin lakes, Flegga, where we will encounter Alpine newts. For those who do not wish to join the hike, they can enjoy nature, take a refreshing dip in the Arkoudorema stream, or return to the vehicles and explore the surrounding villages.

Info 1* Hiking duration: 2-4 hours ascent, 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours descent.

Info 2* The 4×4 will provide food for lunch from a village tavern.

We return to Metsovo in the afternoon to stay overnight at the FLOARA DI MUNTE Forest Luxury Suites. The afternoon is free for rest, a stroll in the village, and of course, dinner.

We start our day with a hearty breakfast from the hotel’s buffet and then continue to experience a 2-hour rafting* experience on the Aliakmonas River.
